We have handled thousands of cases and have been recognized for excellence by our peers. Here are just a few of the cases we have handled.
Personal Injury Cases: We often handle cases other attorneys turn down or think are worthless. We also handle fender benders to catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
A) Two juvenile racing their cars hit a couple riding their bicycle on a recreation path causing traumatic brain injury and death. We were able to insure that all bills were paid, maximize recovery from all sources – insurance and otherwise, and guide the family through the maze of issues that confronted them – including estate and probate.
B) A highly publicized multiple vehicle crash in a snow white out resulted in the death of one our clients. Despite the insurance companies’ claims that they were not liable, we were able to obtain recovery from several insurance companies.
C) Dringoli V. City of Neenah. We successfully took our clients' claims to Federal Court for violation of civil rights and personal injuries.
D) We have obtained numerous six and seven figure settlements ranging from knee injury resulting from laying down a motorcycle to back surgery from being struck by a change cart at Oneida Casino.
Criminal Cases:
A) State V. Dringoli. Despite multiple felony charges and multiple cases filed against our client, we were able to get all charges dismissed before even going to trial.
B) State V. Ort. Despite more than two dozen felony charges in two separate cases, we were successful in getting all charges dismissed without having to go to trial.
C) Robert Bellin and Jeffrey Oswald have been legal analysts for local television, radio and news media for various issues and cases including the Avery Trial.
D) State V. Giebel. We were successful in overturning an adverse ruling against our client and making law with a published opinion by the Court of Appeals – resulting in dismissal of all charges against our client.
E) We were able to get first degree sexual assault charges against a paper company executive dismissed without a trial – we were convinced the claim was a setup, and were able to show it.
Family Law:
A) Because of the confidential nature of these cases, details generally cannot be disclosed, but we have successfully handled Divorce case ranging from simple property division to complex custody and placement issues. We have been successful in appealing adverse rulings and overturning circuit court decisions on support payments, property and custody.
B) William Hammett has taught seminars on family issues, including educating family court commissioners, and is regularly requested by many courts to act as a guarding ad litem.
General and Business Litigation: Representing business and individuals in civil litigation involves numerous issues ranging from non-competition agreements to ownership of billboards. Robert Bellin has been repeatedly recognized for his work in this area by Wisconsin Super Lawyers Magazine.
